"In the moment that I stepped in The vibe was effervescent Melodies filled the room and the keys were incandescent" -Stik Figa
Monochrome (free) 03:30
"As I wax poetic over past aesthetics, craft a legend of a time before the apathetic. Let’s start a tab. What will you have? Is that cash or credit? How about a glass of purgatory with a splash of heaven?"
Blind Tiger 02:33
Blind Tiger Where the drum roll, numskull Aint you seen the white horse, aint you seen the gun smoke Funds low these bums broke, chatting with Colombo Peeling back the moon roof, and now my skin is sun soaked Aint no rocket science, but I need space Aint been to compliant, mama saying that I need faith Being self-reliant we just ash when they cremate Go ahead and pick a star, which one would you replace Balls full of gas, they don’t even need names Earth's about the cash, working on a pre-paid Flame to the glass, inhale and then relieve pain Life a lot of things, she aint never been no cheap date Slave in a free state, discovering the cub bards dry Listen to the engine putter brother give another try Pop mutters, baby sucking on her mother’s for another night Gunfire is another lullaby [Verse 2] And from the end is where this poem starts No regards, watering the rose and still we grow apart Hopeless hearts, anxious dip your toes with sharks I’m floating in the ocean on top of shards of Noah's Ark Ride the wave cautious, and then I set sail Arrived on dry land, walking, on an egg shell With lead bells, blowing the whistle man I just left hell Nothing to regret well except maybe that death smell Behind the red veil enjoying the best seats The rest grieve, nothing to show for it but prestige Wonder what success brings, I go against the jet stream Knowing one man's night mare is another’s wet dream
"What you willing to kill for, what you willing die for? Money under the mattress pistol under the pillow" -Stik Figa
"I only know five songs and they're all Gucci's 'Lemonade'" -Open Mike Eagle
"From a single drop of rain, where a puddle would start deeming every single piece of this puzzle as art." -Stik Figa
Smoke Rings 02:07
"Work reveals diligence, words reveal real intent Can’t kill the spirit won’t kneel before ignorance." -Stik Figa
[Chorus] From where I stand on the cold concrete Feel it in my bones and the soles of my feet What’s that? Strength from my folks underneath With all that’s going on though, I hope you got peace Verse 1 (Stik Figa) And the hardest part of life became the easiest The older that I get, reconciling all the sequences Archive the memories, recall, retrieving it Recipe for disaster substitute ingredients It’s hot in the kitchen can’t sweat no conveniences Let it all fall in the batter loves tedious Labor of it all please have a piece of it Confection and critique of it And see how bittersweet it is Committed this egregious sin, which I plead the fifth In the court of your opinion do I need defense? Being judged by my peers do I need repent Drowning in my own conscious though, its sink or swim And the devil’s hella busy trying to cripple my faith Placing seeds of doubt in a difficult space But what’s new? These here are critical days They did the same thing to Christ offered to triple his wage Won’t answer any riddles or give any praise Conflicts of interest are you willing to change I say [Chorus] Second Verse - Has-Lo Giving on the fountain that retains my youth, my illusion is a jewel, I entertain the muse. Sitting on the pedestal, nothing ever moves ?never do a dap, it's the apathy do? Know that I embrace what I can't control, 'til I'm out of my death, til I finally rest. Til the angel in the road lift me out of my flesh and my soul turns to energy, a sinner's relief. All the buzz words and fluff terms apart To ever be a star, you must learn to chart. The smart take heed, the wise. When you're always right you begin to miss being surprised. Every day my eyes open up, shades are drawn. I awake ?any side that I face are wrong? But still, I pull up, chin up the bar. ?A man like you call a million a mar? So I say Chorus
"Like most things it's all about the angle & position of it" -yU
"I’m playing jacks with the planets and its primitive fun Scripted words on my heart and the tip of my tongue"
After All 03:12
"Straight for constellations now go ahead and cue the tape. Let the music play this how I communicate." -Stik Figa
"Live from the dark side, car rides at night time Waves of blackness is like victims at ill apartheid Who open graves, in the midst of zombies who aint died? Going through life like hands tied we aint vampires Got to see the light like a starry night round the campfire" -Rapsody

You turn down a dark alley, seeking refuge from the sweltering heat of the factories that line the city streets. As you wind through a maze of alleyways, darkness falls and the sky glows a toxic orange. You hear music coming from behind a door at the end of a dark and narrow tunnel. You know that once you open the door and descend into a world beneath the concrete, you will never be the same.

This is The City Under The City, a new collaboration from producer L’Orange and Topeka, KS MC Stik Figa. Mello Music Group teams up with L’Orange and Stik Figa to take you on a dark and abstract journey through a realm that lies under the surface. Guest features include haunting verses from Rapsody, Open Mike Eagle, MindsOne, Has-Lo, 7evenThirty and yU as well as cuts by DJ Iron.

There’s a world under the concrete. The question is - can you see it?
